Description
In this video I show how to install gr-gsm, which we will use to capture and decode GSM signals. Keep in mind that we will use the packaging branch, as that supports decoding voice. The master branch has voice decoding removed.

Hi, where can I find the package: gr-gsm-packaging.zip ? Now on github there are branches : developement , grgsm_on_win, master, ptrkrysik/trx, quick-hack.
Look at some of the forked repositories, they still have it.
Hi,gr-gsm-packaging.zip not found!

Hey, good day
I want to first say a big thank you for making this series. I have tried installing gr-gsm but it won’t work because gnuradio was updated to 3.8 and it’s not backward compatible apparently. I have been working on fixing this issue for the last 12 hours but nothing to show for it. Please can you make a tutorial on how to solve this. It would be saving my sanity. Thank you
I recommend you use Ubuntu and apt install gqrx instead as that should give you a fairly recent version. Alternatively you could use the testing repositories for a newer but potentially not stable version of gqrx.
Hi there 🙂
First, i’m a false-newbie in this whole universe but i love it each day more.
I tumbled upon your serie of tutorials by wandering questions i had and seriously, i’m impressed.
They are clear, not telling fairy stories.. i just love them.
So thank you for the Job, and of course, for SHARING, which seems even harder to find nowadays.
Be sure your website is on first links of my favorites and that i’ll come back as soon as my time allows it.
Cheers from west Switzerland 🙂 !!
Thanks!
gr-gsm-packaging.zip now is not found in that link. What should I do?
Try find one of the repositories on github.
